Estate Vineyards
“On a cellular level, my body rejoices each time I walk among the vines. I know this because my blood pressure drops and my mind is calm.”
—Thomas Baldacci
Winery Estate, Stags Leap District
We purchased our Stags Leap District property in 1998, not fully realizing how deeply we would fall in love with the land. Each season revealed a new layer of beauty: the vibrant colors of the leaves, the golden fields of mustard flowers, the hawks soaring overhead in search of their next meal, and the sunsets that paint the Stags Leap Palisades with a stunning red-orange glow. What began as a place for family retreats soon transformed into a long-term commitment to stewardship and sustainability.
Today, we proudly farm this land with an eye toward the future. Our CCOF certification reflects our dedication to organic farming practices, ensuring that we protect the health of the soil, vines, and surrounding environment. Our vineyard has become more than just a home; it’s a place where we come together with friends and family to escape the hustle of everyday life and enjoy the natural beauty of our land.
Honey B Vineyard, Los Carneros
The Honey B Vineyard, located on Cuttings Wharf Road in the Carneros AVA, became part of our estate vineyard portfolio in 2008. This 23-acre property is home to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, and Gewürztraminer. Our Carneros Chardonnay and Carneros Pinot Noir are the cornerstone offerings from this vineyard. The Syrah is crafted as a single-varietal wine and, along with the Merlot, contributes to our Fraternity Red Wine Blend. Lastly, the Gewürztraminer, which represents 20% of the total grown in Napa County, is used to produce our Frederich Late Harvest Gewürztraminer, a sweet and elegant wine that’s the perfect finish to any meal.
Stella Knight Vineyard, Calistoga
In 2013, our estate vineyard portfolio expanded with the purchase of the Stella Knight Vineyard. The 8.5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are located in Calistoga, at the base of the Diamond Mountain District. This region, one of the hottest in Napa Valley, features volcanic bedrock and sediment—ideal conditions for growing premium wine grapes. With our CCOF certification, we are committed to farming these vineyards organically, preserving the health of the vines and the surrounding ecosystem. Calistoga’s unique combination of geology and climate allows us to explore new expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon while ensuring that our farming practices are in harmony with the environment.
