In terms of the general strategy for packaging, Duckhorn said when she joined the winery as general manager in 2015, she sought to reduce the overall number of packaging vendors the winery worked with while also building long-term relationships with suppliers committed to sustainability.
The pairing showcases the structure, complexity and bold flavors of this Bordeaux-style red. This was one of my favorite red wines I’ve ever tasted. The chocolate had a more subtle impact here perhaps because I was so blown away by this red blend to begin with!
A burst of freshness follows intense savoury black olive, cedar, vanilla bean, and woodsmoke. Medium to full-bodied, showing the vintage’s freshness but imbued with more finesse than density, more energy than power, and resplendent savoury qualities like green tobacco, capsicum, and olive.
