Aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak and an additional 36 months in the bottle before release, The Thomas Collection is ready to enjoy now and will continue to evolve over the next 8-10 years.

A Tale of Two Terroirs

Winery Ranch, Stags Leap District

Acquired in 1998, our family’s winemaking journey began at Winery Ranch. Nestled within the Stags Leap District, the vineyard benefits from cooling marine breezes and nighttime cold air currents. The Stags Leap fruit for The Thomas Collection is sourced from Block 4, where Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in volcanic gravel loam soils, producing intensely flavored fruit.

Stella Knight Vineyard, Diamond Mountain District

Acquired in 2013 by my grandfather Paul and father, the Stella Knight Vineyard in Calistoga, Diamond Mountain District enjoys the welcome shade of the afternoon sun. This unique terroir, combined with Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon in Block 3, results in a balanced fruit profile and refreshing acidity with a rich structure, all accentuated by a warm Mediterranean climate.
